Founded by Chairman Mr. Ding Zongyin in 1996, Silan Group has established a large-scale petrochemical supply chain integrating research and development, manufacture, trade, logistics and financial service after endeavor for more than 20 years. The Group mainly engages in trade and the business involves international and domestic trades, industrial manufacture, real estate development, logistics, capital operation, tourism and leisure industry, which contribute to establishing itself as a diversified, standard and large-scale enterprise. In actively implementing the development strategy of “promoting green science and technology”, Silan Group cooperates with several world's top 500 enterprises to promote the application of green, low-carbon and environmental friendly industrial materials with high quality and green science and technology in modern industry, which help to provide consumers in China with high quality and environmental friendly products. In order to support R&D innovation in terms of green science and technology, Fujian Lanfeng Leather Co., Ltd. funded by Silan Group invested RMB 30 million in environmental protection and established targets for saving energy and reducing emissions. Silan Group was authorized as the first “Demonstration Base for International Sci-Technology Cooperation” in Fujian Province by Fujian Provincial Department of Science & Technology, which accelerates international communication and cooperation on low-carbon and green technology.

Silan Group sets “one main body and two wings” as the operating strategy to accelerate industry upgrade, of which the “main body” refers to the large-scale petrochemical supply chain with export & import, domestic trade and logistics as the main and the “two wings” refers to industrial manufacture and the real estate development. The export & import business covers more than 1,000 enterprises in more than 120 countries and regions in the world, winning long-term support and friendly cooperation relation with international petrochemical tycoons. It accelerates domestic trade with international trade, extends to upstream and downstream of petrochemical industrial chain, and establishes a marketing network with East China, South China and North China as the main. Silan logistics consisted of hazardous chemicals, harbor and free trade zone provides professional, safe and efficient logistics service for western coast area of Taiwan Strait. Silan Group has invested more than RMB 1.1 billion in the Silan Industrial Park, with various projects established and put into production such as leather working, shoe material, foam, sport shoe, logistics, scientific research and development and free trade, covering an area of 150 thousand m2 and an annual output (including that of sport shoe) of RMB 1 billion. The industrial chain covering raw material supply, semi-finished products, finished products, scientific research and development and logistics is generally established. Lanfeng Urban Garden (a real estate project) with building area of 600 thousand m2 has successively passed acceptance check by Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of PRC as the first “National Comfortable Housing Demonstration Project” in Quanzhou City. Silan Dehua Nancheng tourism project contracted In February, 2011 is established according to international top standard and rated as “back garden” of Quanzhou and even the whole west coast area of Taiwan Strait.

Silan develops rapidly for the promotion of green science and technology and is also delighted to take its social responsibility. Silan people make their contribution to the society in more than 10 years, including relief aid provided in Wenchuan Earthquake disaster and flood & frozen disasters, establishment of Hope School in Xingwen County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, kindergarten and elderly association in Huatingkou Village of Chendai Town, and implementation of public welfare forest project for Inner Mongolia desertification control in cooperation with international charities. The Group has established three charitable funds, namely, Chen Ayan Charitable Fund, Silan Charitable Fund and SL Charitable Fund and the funds amount reached more than RMB 45 million until 2011.
